self-regulation through accreditation

Standards For Educational Advancement & Accreditation Trust

Genesis of SEAA Global Accreditation Advocacy

In our assessment based on working closely with the B-schools, at least 50 Indian business schools are ready to adopt international accreditation of the like of AACSB International, Association of MBA's or EQUIS and another 30 B-schools at least could also be on the way to take up the global quality benchmarks. Therefore information and practical insights into accreditation process is absolutely needed at this juncture to put accreditation on a fast track, whether Indian or International. Already seven B-schools including IIM A, IIM B, IIM K, MDI Gurgaon, SP Jain, PSGIM Coimbatore and Alliance University Bangalore have been accredited by international agencies.

Standards for Educational Advancement & Accreditation (SEAA) Trust's annual international conferences, workshops, panel discussions, Roundtables and in-campus seminars, training programmes for faculty are efforts to advocate quality assurance through accreditation benchmarks to Indian B-schools. The SEAA International Accreditation Forum has been enabled to assist schools taking up accreditation closely. Become a member of this forum and benefit immensely from it. SEAA has acheived several milestones in its quest for advocating and facilitating global benchmarks of quality through international accreditation in line with its belief that self-regulation with accreditation is any time preferable to government regulation.

The time for international accreditation has come and it is also time that the Indian and international corporate started recognizing accreditation certification as an essential pre-requisite for recruitment from the B-schools concerned as these are possibly the best endorsement of the intrinsic quality of the campus.

SEAA was founded under the leadership of A.Thothathri Raman, a senior business journalist and a rating and ranking expert who has been working towards capacity building with quality in B-Schools for the last over a decade.

He has three decades of experience professional experience. In the past one decade he has been running the largest and the most prominent annual rankings of B-Schools in country at Business India fortnightly where he works as a Consulting Editor. His coordinates are available on his personal web-page.

The Advisory Board of the SEAA Trust is chaired by Dr A K Sengupta, Convenor, HEF Googlegroup, Mumbai, an eminent B-schools action leader. Higher Education Forum is a large Google Community of higher education academia.
