The SEAA Hyderabad workshop on International Accreditation Benchmarks brought in association with Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), Kansas City USA had an intense debate on fixing the context for international accreditation in India. A strong panel of 10 speakers--a literal who's who of the Indian B-school and academic world debated for nearly two hours to arrive at a consensus on the need for Indian B-schools to go for international accreditation. The nearly 3000 B-schools or institutions teaching management programmes needed to learn from the world as to the nuances in building high quality. India could emerge as the world's biggest market for B-school quality benchmarking business considering the existing large capacity and expected doubling of the same in just a few years time. Around 40 academics from more than dozen business schools participated in the event held at Cenre for Organization Development (COD) a prominent convention centre.
