It was 1916 when a group of around 16 University deans got together to discuss ways of sharing information, knowledge and processes to offer the best possible education to their cohorts in running their businesses. The new outfit was initially called International Association for Management Education and later American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business. The current name AACSB International to broad base its accreditation process, was given in2001 when a new set of standards was adopted by the institutions.

The first accreditations standards were announced as far back as 1919 and the standards for accounting programmes in 1980. The new standards and peer review process were announced in 1991 and later revised in 2001 when the new name AACSB International was adopted. The agency had around 650 American institutions of higher education, nearly 200 institutions of higher education in forty-nine foreign countries, and about fifty corporate and nonprofit organizations around the world around the time the new name was adopted. The agency became more active and added to its number of members rapidly. As of now, 1100 members from 70 countries are on the member rolls of AACSB International. Standards for Educational Advancement & Accreditation (SEAA) was started in 2008 at New Delhi, as an agency for global quality assessment advocacy and facilitation and has since been working closely with the best accreditation bodies from around the world. The Top Five Agencies AACSB International, USA, Association of MBAs (AMBA) of UK, the European Quality System (EQUIS) of Belgium, the ACBSP & IACBE of the USA along with the South Asian Quality Systems (SAQS) have participated in our top rated international seminars, workshops, roundtables and conferences being held around the country. We also created global history by putting together Top Five accrediting agencies along with SAQS on the same platform, done for the first time anywhere in the world.

We have also been publishing the comprehensive accreditation search facility featuring all the accredited schools belonging to the Top Five accrediting bodies. SEAA has been promoted by A.Thothathri Raman a senior business journalist, author and teacher at leading business schools who has been running India’s largest and the most respected Annual Rating survey of business schools at Business India Magazine.
