Standards for Educational Advancement & Accreditation (SEAA) is pleased to team up with AACSB International, USA to launch its 2012 opening edition of international advocacy and facilitation work, with an one day International Accreditation Conference titled “Get Ahead with AACSB International” in Bangalore on January 31, 2012 at The Oberoi,MG Road. The workshop is to continue with SEAA's focused commitment for international accreditation advocacy and facilitation. There are over 30 members from India who are now with AACSB International and a handful of these have already started on the accreditation path. The rest are waiting on the wings to start their own process and everyone needs to know the path, the various aspects connected with the pre-application and the process and the best way to learn all this is from the peer schools from anywhere in the world who could share their experience. SEAA has adopted experience sharing as its primary driver in its advocacy and facilitation efforts.
The AACSB Bangalore conference would also continue on the same tradition of experience sharing and we have requested the Indian School of Business Hyderabad who has been accredited by AACSB recently to make their presentation and share with the peers who would be present as to how they went about securing the accreditation from the world's number accrediting agency.
The Conference would also have two other aspirant schools from India T A Pai Institute of Management (TAPMI) Manipal and PSG Institute of Management (PSGIM) Coimbatore who would be making their case presentation. AACSB's Senior Vice President, Prof Eileen Peacock would be making presentations on certain critical aspects of the accreditation process and also focus on the recent revisions made to the standards adopted by the agency. We would also be producing a detailed Conference document listing.
The conference would be a great learning experience without doubt and the profile of schools attending this conference would be high. We expect around 60-70 senior faculty, directors and deans of the B-schools to attend this event which is being held in The Oberoi, MG Road, Bangalore.
We invite sponsors to support in carrying forward our mission of encouraging "Self-regulation through International Accreditation as the best means to build Quality in Business Education".
The supports to SEAA which is a non-profit agency that supports itself only through Conference delegate fee and sponsorship has kept Rs 1.5 lakh as the sponsorship fee. The sponsors would have two complimentary registrations worth Rs 24,000 and also a mention of their logo in all promotional literature.
